Keep up the great work! -David T. "Our HistoryThe Mon Yough Chorale was established in 2015. The group has a long history beginning in the 1950’s as the Laurel Singers. Wanting to give itself a location in the Mon Valley area, the group renamed itself the McKeesport Choraliers. In 2001, the Choraliers merged with the then White Oak Community Singers to become the Mon Yough Community Singers. In 2015, the group decided it was time for change and reorganized under the name Mon Yough Chorale. Although the name is new, the group still maintains the same high quality choral music as it has in the past. We look forward to many more decades of creating music to satisfy the many diverse backgrounds of the Mon Yough area. We perform for many organizations and municipalities in and around Western Pennsylvania. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal to preview the group prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary. Our repertoire consists of many types of music: Patriotic, Broadway Show Tunes, Gospel, Sacred, Baroque, Renaissance, Jazz, Light Tunes, and Holiday, among many others. Give us a try and see for yourself! Our rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampson's Mills Presbyterian Church fellowship hall at 1665 Lincoln Way White Oak, PA 15131. Mon Yough Chorale is affiliated with the church for rehearsal and concert purposes only. We may occasionally use the venue for fundraising purposes also.
